Well done on most of those changes to the budget Michael - I am sad to see the reduction of Hull In Print to quarterly. The communications to residents from the council are already poor and Hull In Print is a key part of the communication.

I understand the issues regarding costs, but not telling people what is happening is the single biggest complaint I hear at voluntary sector meetings. I hope that the members can come up with some ideas to replace the Hull In Print -

Perhaps a blog - but please don't let the council IT department get involved - keep it in marketing.

Well Done on most of the changes, hows that?
He had no input into the Labour budget, he just voted for more job cuts more parking fines.

Anonymous, I voted for the retention of meals for the elderly and Elderly Homes which the Liberal Democratics wanted to scrap.
I take it the elderly and the young do not interest you at all. I voted for School Meals as I have been to areas where children sleep on floors and the children eat scraps.
I take it you wanted to lose more 'family silver'by loosing our museums to trust foundations,do you have any pride in this city or is it why you live in East Riding!
I unlike others do not believe in people being on the dole or being made unemployed through no fault of their own, when its uneccessary.
In fact as Cllr Minns stated in the Hull Daily Mail, it was a Liberal Democrat Budget, except for £3M, which was covered by the Dividend from Kingston communications.
Imput did come from the 'NEW Hull Independent Group', with concerns for the elderly, young and Citizens of Kingston-Upon-Hull.

No voted as you were told by the Labour party. You voted for more of them to lose their jobs, no its not their fault, its Labour's inability to balance budgets, And those children live on Ena Street, maybe as it the parents responsibilty they should feed them, mine fed and clothed me

i'd be careful, where is ena str and what have they children of that area have to do with Derringham?

I thought that this blog was for Derringham Ward but anonymous wants to bring in other areas. I suggest if s/he cannot be constructive in what they write then they should not write at all.

In the Derringham area just like other areas of the City not everyone enjoys the luxury of being in a family unit in which mother and father are together bringing up their children, This City is one of the worst cities for unemployment and poor pay scales as well as one parent families. It does not help when the Liberal Democrats see the only way to balance the books is to make people unemployed. Not everyone is in the £26,000+ earnings bracket in this City unlike those who are portfolio holders. The average wage is £9,000 and that is if they work more than 38 hrs a week. Most of the jobs here are on the minimum wage level and for this City that is the main problem for every citizen of this City and until we get everyone working this City will never move forward. The Lib Dems wanted to make another 300+ people unemployed by stopping the school meals and meals on wheels and closing the homes. Well done for the common sense in getting these ammendments in to the budget.

You voted to make more council employees redundant. Lib Dems can achieve their through volutary, but the Labour amendments rouse-deane voted for are more redundacies and compulsory how does that help the families you mention, if anything it exasabates the problem. What positive contribution has rouse-deane dorne for the ward apart from report on what others have done then claim credit. Plagerism.
I do agree that the wage levels in the city do not give the resident anything to aspire to, and who's fault is that but the labour groups years of neglect support by a rag tag bunch of independents, so they call them selves who just vote with Labour cos they think they'll get paid positions. That not serving the people only themselves.

Kepp misinforming and lying cos it all you've got

Anonymous, thanks for your comments, I went to University and unlike some of your Lib Dems I didnt get done for plagarism!
Wish you had listened to todays Full Council Meeting, or youd be eating your words.
However, do you want to make over 600 employees redundant?
Thats before the current Administration carry out the wishes of the Majority to try and save jobs.
I never claim any other persons work as my own. I trust you attack the ones who do little for the residents and get PAID HIGHLY!!

Hey anonymous it is why your english skills are so poor because of your poor diet is it? When the Independents voted with Labour it was to keep the improvements in attainment targets UP and the attention span of the children higher than it used to be and therefore they learn more. It was also to keep the jobs in the school kitchens of those who prepare and cook the meals as well as serve them. Anyone with a brain would see that but clearly you do not have that priviledge do you???
Cllr Rouse-Deane in mine and many other eyes is the best councillor we could have. One who is so committed to the Ward that he changed parties that took guts. It is about time you all got to grips with that. He was elected by the people, for the people and I quite frankly don't care what banner they are under as long as when the vote comes they VOTE for the BETTERMENT of Derringham and NOT the way Local and National Party say they have so. So get off his back and for God's sake get a life. Lib Dems are the ones you should be wary of. Think about it next time you walk down a dark street because they have turned off the street lights. THAT IS A NATIONAL thing done by the LIB DEMS. Criminals love LIB DEMS are you one of them???
