CURRENT ISSUES

with the Elections now in full swing, Cllr Rouse-Deane looks back at his achievements:
  • Ledbury Road/Priory Road - is now getting the green light to get the Pedestrian Crossing and Speed restriction now that the Cemetery Work has the go ahead.
  • Dayton Road - This issue was brought up twelve months ago and Cllr Rouse-Deane is glad to see that consultation is now going ahead.
  • Shropshire Close-an issue brought to Cllr Rouse-Deane in 2005, is progressing since the Laws changed and a Petition organised.
  • Willerby Road - Cllr Rouse-Deane is glad that after his initial Complaint and recent negotiations with Council Officials and Mr Codd from Hansons that the Central Reservation will be restored to its original condition.
  • Hove Road Playing Fields, after the article in Cllr. Rouse-Deane's Newsletter, it was interesting to find that the Youth of the Area were glad of the improvements.
  • Wymersley Park- Cllr Rouse-Deane is now happy to hear that the 20MPH Zoning is forthcoming and the concern shown by attending regular meetings with RESIDENTS that the £9,000 of new Lighting is money well spent and the MUGA will soon be installed.
  • Anti Social Behaviour- Current issues in Julian close and in the shires have been of great concern and it is good to hear that peace will reign in Julian Close when the family leaves in the next few weeks.

Please comment on issues of concern in the Ward

During the past week we have received a small number of comments on blog posts that were either malicious, offensive or contained unsolicited advertising. We clearly cannot allow comments to be published on this blog that are likely to offend, yet at the same time we are keen to encourage residents in Derringham to comment and discuss publicly, issues that are of concern in the Ward.

We have decided therefore to moderate the comments - This will mean a small delay between the time you post a comment and it being published so that we can check that comments are appropriate, however this is the only practical way to stop offensive comments and unsolicited advertising.

We apologise for this inconvenience - and do ask that you continue to post your comments.

SUMMERBRIDGE DOORS LTD

Residents of The Riding's have made it known to myself and the Planning Committee of East Riding of the disturbance caused by the new equipment installed prior to New Year, which is causing distress to the residents of Derringham Ward.

First brought to my attention in the middle of February this year, I have know found that at least 20% of that area have complained.

I am informed that it goes before the East Riding Planning Committee take it to their next meeting in June 2007.

Please watch this space for update.
